"The Sweetest Thing" started out as a simple concept: Make fun and creative themed dessert buffets for any occasion! I have a passion for baking, but had nowhere to take the things I baked! My husband and I usually ending up eating what we could, thus gaining a couple unwanted pounds, and throwing the rest away. I kept my ears open for any excuse to bake, but never found enough reasons to justify baking at least three times a week! And so as I brainstormed ideas on how I could do what I love and not be so wasteful, "The Sweetest Thing" company was born. "Something Simple" buffet (choice of any 3 buffet items)
- $100 - Serves 20 people or less
Themed buffets (7-9 items, depending on buffet)
- $200 - Serves 30 people
- $250 - Serves 60 people
- $300 - Serves 90 people
- $350 - Serves 120 people
- $400 - Serves 150 people
- $450 - Serves 180 people
- $500 - Serves 200 people

What's Included in the Price:
- 7-9 dessert items per buffet (Except for the "Something Simple" buffet, which is only 3 items)
- Glass water dispenser (Any additional drinks included are listed in the buffet descriptions)
- Cups, plates & napkins (We will provide enough for the desserts, not for any other food served)
- Take home boxes for guests
- Backdrop & small decorations to match theme of buffet
- Table for desserts & water station with black tablecloths (Please contact us if you would like us to use your tables and/or tablecloths to match the decor of your event)
How it works:
- Browse through the buffet categories and choose the buffet you would like to have at your event.
- Click on the "Order" button on the right hand side of our website and fill out the form. We will need to check the availability of your requested date and time before your event is confirmed.
- Within 48 hours we will send you an email confirming your event's date & time, the buffet chosen, the number of guests it must serve and any additional requests. (If we are unable to provide a buffet on the date and time you have requested, we will provide alternate dates and times which are available).
- After receiving your confirmation email, you must pay a $50.00 deposit fee within 48 hours (which will go towards the total cost of your buffet). A link to make this payment will be included in your confirmation email, or you can click on the "Pay Now" button on the right hand side of our website. In order to avoid confusion, please only make a payment after you have received a confirmation email.
- Your remaining balance is due no later than three days before your event, otherwise there is a $50.00 late fee.
- We will arrive at least one hour before the scheduled time to set up. If it is your wedding (Yay!), please give us the name of a contact person we can find upon arrival to ensure that we set up the buffet in the correct location.
- That's it! You enjoy a stress-free party and we'll take care of all the sugar needs of your guests.
- Lastly, come back a couple weeks later to check out your party on our blog. We'll include a recipe of one of the favorite desserts of the evening on the post. (Feel free to make requests).
Payments:

Cancellation/Refund Policy:
A full refund will be issued for any event canceled up until two weeks before your event. If you cancel within those two weeks, your deposit will be forfeited. If you have paid the full amount and cancel within two weeks of your scheduled event, we will refund the total amount you paid minus your $50.00 deposit.
